The Intel® Server Chassis SC5299BRP is a reliable, scalable, and manageable chassis with the versatility to support applications ranging from multipurpose servers in small businesses. The Server Chassis SC5299BRP delivers the power and thermal headroom to support the new Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® Processor-Based Servers.

Case comes with fixed drive bay that supports up to four hard drives (you could physically mount 6 drives but only 4 are supported due to power and heat issues).

Processor Support
All SC5299 cases will require you to purchase a Xeon processor that includes and ACTIVE HEATSINK (this means the heatsink has a fan attached). You can tell when ordering the CPU by looking at the Intel Part Number, it will end in "A" (example - BX805555030A). Third party Xeon LGA771 active heatsink may also be used but not guaranteed.
Optional Accessories
Local control panel option AXXLCPPED = ASI SKU 30631 (fits in unused 5.25" drive bay) . Does NOT require IMM (Intel Management Module) when used with Bensley platform because full BMC is integrated to server board.
 
Floppy: All new Intel server board DO NOT have a standard 34-pin floppy connector. Therefore to add floppy drive you will need two parts:
  • AXXUSBFLOPPY INTERNAL SLIM-LIM FLOPPY KIT (includes drive) = SKU 50003
  • AXXCDUSBFDBRK 5.25" slim-line CD/DVD/Floppy bracket KIT = SKU 49016

This will also allow you to add one SLIM optical drive - for example SKU 50831 (AXXDVDROM). However any brand slim optical drive is supported.
