Question:

 

After installing Vista OS and install Intel Chipset v.8.3.0.1013 then followed by Vista Intel Graphic driver v.15.4.3 (dated: 06/06/2007),  the sceen starts to flicker or scroll up with a black or a checker horizontal line accross the screen on shut down and on start up splash screen.  Unstall the Intel Graphic driver v.15.4.3 and uses Microsoft update graphic driver v.7.14.10.1138 (dated: 08/23/2006) but still flicker.  Down grade the Intel Graphic driver to v.15.4 and v.15.2 but still flicker.  How do I resolve this problem?

Thorough extensive testing on this issue, once Intel Graphic Vista driver v.15.4.3 is installed, it cannot be undo.  Uninstall and reinstall with different version does not resolved the flicker screen issue.  The resolution is to clean install Vista and install Intel Chipset v.8.3.0.1013 and followed by Intel Graphic Vista driver v.15.4 (driver detect in device manager is v.7.14.10.1255 / dated: 04/13/2007).  The flicker screen issue is resoved and continue with rest of the drivers.
