Problem:
OS: Vista and XP

Modem not found in device manager.
 
Solution:
Steps to activate the modem in device manager for Vista OS on Z37S, Z37E, S37S, & S37E
  1. When installing the modem driver, it installs M3 (Motorola Messenger) and the modem driver
  2. Finish with the M3 wizard setup and the M3 icon will appear on the systray
  3. Right click on the M3 icon from systray
  4. Move mouse cursor to "Device mode" and select "Modem
  5. The modem will appears in device manager and in Control Panel -> Phone and Modem Options
